The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ebonyi State chapter, has commended some state commissioners for strong performance while calling for improved project monitoring across the state.

Speaking in Abakaliki, the State Chairman of IPAC, Comrade Ernest Nwaze, said the council’s recent project monitoring exercise was aimed at assessing government performance and identifying areas that require improvement.

According to him, IPAC inspected several sites, including the Industrial City Cluster, Vanco, ICT University, Aeronautical University and selected housing estates. He expressed concern over the slow pace of work at some locations, particularly at the Industrial City Cluster and sections of the Aeronautical University.

IPAC, however, praised progress at ICT University and Vanco, describing the pace of work as satisfactory and consistent with Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s development agenda.

The council also raised concerns over restrictions on the use of designated bus stops by commercial drivers, noting that the situation has caused inconvenience to commuters.

Nwaze urged relevant commissioners and project monitoring officials to strengthen oversight, calling on the governor to ensure contractors deliver on their mandates.

He commended the Commissioners for Justice, Works, Housing, Agriculture, Education and Environment for notable achievements and praised Governor Nwifuru for promoting political inclusiveness and peace in the state, stressing that IPAC’s engagement remains non-partisan and people-focused.
