Mbano People's Assembly Marks 12th Anniversary with Grand Empowerment Event in Owerri

The Mbano People’s Assembly (MPA) will be celebrating its 12th Anniversary in grand style on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Best Way Hotel, Owerri. This landmark event is set to be a memorable occasion that will not only commemorate over a decade of impact but also herald a major empowerment programme targeted at the sons and daughters of Mbano.
The theme of the anniversary is:
“The Role of Infrastructure, Security, and Youth Empowerment in the Development of Mbano Nation.”
A theme that underscores the fundamental pillars necessary for the sustainable growth and transformation of Mbano land.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Chairman of the Mbano People's Assembly, Owerri Branch, Comrade Anselem Njoku, emphasized the significance of the anniversary. He described it as a rallying point for unity, development, and strategic planning for the future of Mbano nation. “This is more than a celebration; it is a movement to secure the future of our land through robust discussions and initiatives,” he noted.
The event will feature a line-up of prominent dignitaries and stakeholders from across Imo State and beyond.
High Chief Duru Mike Ejiogu (Akaekpuchi Onwa I of Igbo Land) will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, while the Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Chima Mathew Amadi, a renowned scholar and development expert.
The event’s Chairman is Mr. Chinedu Elemuwa, the Chief Executive Officer of Emzo Oil and Gas, who is expected to bring business insight into the conversation around local development.
