Imo Obidients Stage One Million-Man March For Obi/Kwankwaso, Unveil NDC

Supporters of Mr. Peter Obi and Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Wednesday staged a one million-man march in Owerri, Imo State, to mobilize support for their joint presidential ticket. The rally, organized by the Obidient Movement and the Obi/Kwankwaso Ambassadors Movement, took off from the Kalu Nwankwo Centre to Control Post.

Speaking, Imo Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Anukanti Vigilius Chukwuka, said the march was to announce that Obi is no longer in Labour Party and Kwankwaso no longer in NNPP, but now in the National Democratic Congress, NDC, with its logo of two victory hands, while the State Chairman of the Ambassadors Movement, Hon. Chief Nwike Amanze, said the sensitization was to show that a new Nigeria is possible, stressing that with fuel at N1,400 per litre and farmers unable to go to farm, the system has collapsed and needs serious change.

Rev. Barr. Paulinus Onuchebem Ori said he joined politics because sanitization must start from the pulpit, noting that the comatose state of the nation and the competence of the NDC candidate motivated him. The coordinators urged Nigerians to vote NDC to fix education, agriculture and insecurity, describing Obi/Kwankwaso as the best ticket to get Nigeria working again.

Ori however charged voters to defend their votes on January 16, 2027: "Cast your vote and remain there. Let the vote be counted, let party agents collect the result sheets and march to the collation centre. If they see us in our numbers, they will not practice what they did last time."
