2027 Imo Assembly Election: No Amount of Intimidation, Campaign Billboard Destruction Will Stop My Victory, Owerri West AA Candidate, Prince Chima Okoro Tells APC Agents

Following the reported destruction of political campaign billboards belonging to the 2027 Action Alliance, AA, Candidate for the Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA, for Owerri West State Constituency, allegedly by some agents of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Avu and Ndegwu communities in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, the AA campaign train on Sunday, September 27, 2026, stormed Ndegwu Community to inspect the level of damage to one of the candidate’s campaign billboards.
The campaign team was led by the AA candidate for Owerri West State Constituency, Hon. Prince Chima Uchenna Okoro, popularly known as Nke Nke Enyi Na Owerri West. Some journalists who were present at Ndegwu granted the candidate a media interview, during which he expressed his dissatisfaction over the reported demolition of his campaign billboard, describing the alleged act as a dirty style of politicking that undermines democracy.
Speaking during the press interview at Ndegwu, Prince Chima Okoro said, “Just two days ago, my billboard was destroyed in Avu Community by the outgoing Councillor representing Avu/Oforola Ward 1 in Owerri West, Hon. Paschal Okoro, popularly known as Ajangwo, an agent of APC. Then, less than 24 hours later, the same agents of APC went ahead and destroyed my billboard in Ndegwu Community, within Ward 9, in the Local Government Council.”
The AA Candidate expressed sadness over the development and called on the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Garba Bosso, to ensure what he described as the immediate arrest of Hon. Ajangwo and his alleged cohorts, whom he accused of serving as APC agents involved in the demolition of campaign billboards in Owerri West Local Government Area.
According to Prince Okoro, “It is very saddening and unfortunate. We are not happy. I am calling on the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Audu Garba Bosso, to ensure the immediate arrest of Hon. Ajangwo and his cohorts who are now serving as agents of APC on billboard demolition in Owerri West LGA of Imo State. Those involved should be brought to book to face the wrath of the law because they are not staffers of IMSAA.”
He further alleged that the serving member of the Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA, Rt. Hon. Chief Kanayo Onyemaechi, who is the 2027 APC candidate for Owerri West State Constituency, was mentioned by Hon. Ajangwo as his sponsor, and faulted Onyemaechi for not publicly speaking against the reported destruction of the billboards.
Prince Okoro said, “Also, the serving member of the Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA, Rt. Hon. Chief Kanayo Onyemaechi, who is the 2027 APC candidate for Owerri West State Constituency election, was mentioned by Hon. Ajangwo as his sponsor, and he, Onyemaechi, has kept mute and has failed to speak against the demolished billboard, which means he is very responsible for the billboards which were destroyed by some agents of APC within Owerri West LGA.”
The AA Candidate, however, maintained that the alleged destruction of his campaign materials would not discourage him or his supporters ahead of the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly election in Owerri West.
He said, “I am very sure that AA is poised to win the election in Owerri West, come 2027. I am calling all the supporters of AA to remain positively strong and committed and not to be discouraged ahead of the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA, election in Owerri West.”
Prince Chima Okoro, while speaking further, called on the youths, men and women of Owerri West to continue supporting the Action Alliance, AA, promising that, if elected into the Imo State House of Assembly in 2027, he would sponsor favourable laws, motions and bills aimed at addressing the interests of the constituents.
The Ezi Obodo born young businessman and popular political figure, Prince Chima Okoro, also known as Nke Nke Enyi, described his aspiration to the State House of Assembly as a divine mandate. He said he believed that God had sent him to seek the liberation of the people of Owerri West Constituency under the platform of the Action Alliance, AA.
He further encouraged the people of Owerri West Local Government Area to come out en masse during the election and ensure that their votes count, stressing that his aspiration was aimed at correcting what he described as legislative mistakes of the past in Owerri West.
Prince Okoro also declared that no amount of intimidation or destruction of his campaign billboards would stop his political ambition or prevent him from continuing his campaign across Owerri West ahead of the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly election.
