RE:ALLEGATIONS OF MALICIOUS MISREPRESENTATION AND CHARACTER DEFAMATION AGAINST DR. RICHARD AMONU

Your Excellency,
Our attention has been drawn to a widely circulated "Open Letter" authored by one Chuks Nwokeji, which contains a tissue of lies and direct libelous attacks against our client, Dr. Richard Amonu.
While we respect the Fourth Estate of the Realm, it is clear that the author has abandoned the ethics of journalism to serve as a mouthpiece for a disgruntled syndicate seeking to frustrate the urban renewal and industrialization agenda of your administration. We wish to set the record straight:
1. Clarification on Legal Mandate and Power of Attorney.
The allegation that Dr. Amonu is "encroaching" into unauthorized areas is false. Our client operates strictly within the ambit of the Power of Attorney and development agreements legally executed with the relevant government agencies.
The Fact remains that every action taken at the Naze Industrial Cluster is backed by documented approvals aimed at reclaiming government land from illegal encroachers and "land grabbers" who have long hindered the State’s development.
The claim that our client has "exceeded his area" is a classic strategy used by illegal occupants to stall lawful development.
2.Our client does not operate in secrecy rather in deep financial partnership with State Government to ensure faster development of the area.
All financial engagements regarding the development of the cluster follow standard protocols as a private financing developer partnering with the State Government.
3. Delinking Dr. Amonu from OCDA Operations:
The letter craftily attempts to bridge the internal operations of the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) with the private business activities of our client.
Dr. Amonu is a Developer, not a staff of the OCDA taskforce. He does not command OCDA field officers, nor is he responsible for their enforcement protocols.
To blame our client for the alleged "smoking of Indian hemp" or "brutality" of the agency staff is a desperate attempt at guilt-by-association. It is a calculated smear campaign designed to truncate the progress being made at the Naze Industrial Cluster.
4. The Real Motive: A War Against Progress:
It is vital to note that whenever the government moves to enforce sanity in Owerri, those profiting from the chaos use "journalism" as a shield. The individuals crying "brutality" are often those who have built structures on waterways, blocked access roads, or converted industrial zones into private residences illegally.
Our client, Dr. Richard Amonu, has remained a steadfast partner in Your Excellency’s 3R Initiative (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery).
This attack is a direct response to his refusal to be intimidated by local land syndicates.
We wish to inform the general public and the Office of the Governor that we are currently compiling these libelous publications for legal action.
Your Excellency, we urge you to disregard this sponsored petition. It is not an "Open Letter" for justice; it is a "Blackmail Note" intended to slow down the wheels of progress in Imo State. Our client remains committed to law-abiding development and the aesthetic integrity of the Owerri Capital Territory.
