By Our Reporter
The reported wedding of Hon. Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency (Imo State), in the House of Representatives, and Abuja based lawyer, Barr.Ms.Adaobi Alagwu, has continued to generate mixed reactions across Mbaike Federal Constituency in Imo State and beyond.
Adaobi Alagwu, a legal practitioner operating in Abuja, is said to be known within elite social circles, particularly in high profile districts such as Maitama and Asokoro.
Although regarded as a notable figure within Nigeria’s legal and social space, details surrounding her academic background and professional affiliations remain largely undisclosed in the public domain.
She first attracted widespread public attention following her involvement in a highly publicised paternity dispute with billionaire businessman, Mr. Tunde Ayeni.
The matter drew intense media scrutiny, sparking debates and reportedly involving legal proceedings alongside attempts at private settlement, which contributed to shaping public perception about her personality.
Her reported union with Hon. Amadi in February 2026 has since triggered considerable public discourse, particularly across social media platforms.
Further reports indicate that the lawmaker has scheduled their traditional marriage ceremony to hold at Otulu, in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, on Saturday, April 2, 2026.
The development has intensified speculation regarding the lawmaker’s marital status, as unverified claims suggest that Adaobi Alagwu may be his third wife.
However, there is no official confirmation or credible evidence to substantiate these assertions, leaving such claims within the realm of conjecture.
It was also gathered that Hon. Amadi, who recently celebrated his 30th birthday in Abuja during an event reportedly organised by Adaobi, is alleged to have entered into three marriages within a period of less than three years.
Sources further recalled that he was previously married to a foreign woman, who later reportedly separated from him and relocated with their child.
These claims, however, remain unverified and have not received official confirmation.
Observers note that while the marriage has been acknowledged in some media reports, public reactions remain divided.
While some individuals have expressed support, emphasising the importance of personal happiness and new beginnings, others have continued to raise concerns rooted in her past legal controversies.
As conversations continue to unfold, both individuals remain subjects of public interest, reflecting the intersection of law, politics, and high society within contemporary Nigerian discourse.
