99% Nigeria Youth Support Group Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation for Tinubu’s Second Term in Imo

The Convener of 99% Nigeria Youth Support for Tinubu Second Tenure, Amb. Uchechi Stella Nwankwo, has commenced a grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at rallying youth support for President ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nwankwo, who also serves as Special Assistant to the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I Jibrin(CFR), recently returned to her hometown in Obokwu Community, Ezihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, where she was warmly received by residents, community leaders, and stakeholders.
The visit, which took place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, marked the beginning of an intensified grassroots campaign to promote the re-election bid of President Tinubu, as well as support for the Imo State Governor, .
Speaking at the event, former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Uzodimma on Northern Affairs, Amb. Hassan Adamu Sokoto, expressed strong support for Nwankwo, describing her as a compassionate and capable leader committed to community development. He urged youths and community members to rally behind her, noting that her initiatives are focused on empowerment, skills acquisition, and job creation.
Also speaking, Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Dr. Justin Ogochukwu Nwankwo, described the convener as a “political force” with proven capacity. According to him, the support group has established coordinators across all 36 states of the federation and has evolved into a nationally recognised movement within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In her remarks, Amb. Nwankwo stated that the initiative goes beyond political campaigning, emphasizing youth development through training, empowerment programmes, and inclusive engagement at the grassroots level. She reiterated her commitment to serving her people and contributing to national development if given the opportunity.
She further disclosed that, as part of her outreach, interested youths would be guided on opportunities within federal agencies, including recruitment processes into the Nigerian Armed Forces and paramilitary services. She encouraged eligible citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to actively participate in the democratic process.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the convener, who expressed gratitude to political associates, community members, and supporters. She also acknowledged the support of Governor Uzodimma and her principal, Senator Barau Jibrin.
The homecoming ceremony attracted traditional rulers, religious leaders, political figures, and government officials from both state and federal levels, underscoring the growing momentum of youth-driven political mobilisation in the region.
