New Year: Akagburuonye Felicitates Imolites, Urges Support for Gov. Uzodimma
By Kelechi Ugo
A billionaire lawyer and prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Imo State, Barrister Dr. Success Akagburuonye, has congratulated Imo indigenes on their successful entry into the New Year, describing it as a divine privilege worthy of gratitude to God.
In his New Year message to Imolites, Akagburuonye expressed deep appreciation to God for the gift of life and prayed for peace, joy, and prosperity for the people of the state. He noted that surviving into the New Year is not by chance but by divine grace, adding that 2026 will be a greater and more prosperous year for Imo State and its people.
The APC stalwart, who is widely regarded as a front-runner in the Imo governorship race, commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for what he described as his “unusual and landmark achievements” across the state. According to him, the governor has laid a clear and sustainable roadmap for development, which can only be effectively continued by a successor who shares the same vision, wisdom, and commitment to progress.
Akagburuonye described Governor Uzodimma as a brilliant and visionary leader determined to position Imo State among the most developed states not only in Nigeria but globally. He therefore urged Imo citizens to continue supporting the governor’s people-oriented administration in the interest of sustained growth and development.
Barrister Akagburuonye, who recently received a prestigious Canadian award presented by the Mayor of Brampton, Patrick Brown, is a practicing Christian and renowned philanthropist. He is widely known for deploying his resources toward improving the lives of people in his community and beyond.
