Gov. Nwifuru Appoints Broadcaster Ebere Ania as Special Assistant on Media
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has appointed a media professional Mrs. Ebere Ania, as Special Assistant on Media
Her appointment is part of a fresh round of approvals by the governor aimed at strengthening key institutions and enhancing effective communication within the state government.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor, who described the appointment as a strategic move to boost the administration’s media engagement and public communication.
According to the statement, other appointments approved by the governor include Mrs. Nnenna Steve Egbo as Secretary of the Rural Electrification Board, as well as Mrs. Lucy Ofefe and Hon. Vincent Awoke as Members of the Ebonyi State Civil Service Commission.
The statement further noted that all newly appointed officials will be sworn in on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon, at the Conference Room, Office of the Governor, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.
Governor Nwifuru congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, in line with his administration’s commitment to effective governance and improved service delivery in Ebonyi State.
