2027: We Have No Other Party, Tinubu Is Our Candidate — Nwifuru

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has declared that the state will deliver a total victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Governor Nwifuru gave the assurance on Friday, December 12, 2026, when he received the leadership of the Grassroots Advocacy for Tinubu (GAT), led by Mrs. Hanmo Akume, at the Government House in Abakaliki.
According to the governor, President Tinubu has demonstrated exceptional leadership capacity across critical sectors of national development, particularly in governance, the economy, and security, despite prevailing challenges, and therefore deserves a second term in office.
“There is no sector where you will not see the impact of President Tinubu. In governance, you see action. In security, he has performed creditably,” Nwifuru said.
He added that the President’s leadership competence and resilience have proven his ability to steer the nation through difficult times without plunging it into chaos.
“The man at the helm of affairs is very competent and has shown capacity that cannot put this country in chaos, no matter the circumstances. We have no other political party and no other presidential candidate for 2027 other than Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the governor declared.
Earlier, the Director-General of Grassroots Advocacy for Tinubu, Prof. Ochugudu Achoda, explained that the group was established to mobilize grassroots support nationwide for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Prof. Achoda said the organization is actively engaging communities at the grassroots level to educate citizens on the policies of the Tinubu administration, address misconceptions, and clarify the implications of government reforms that may not be well understood by the public.
He expressed confidence that sustained grassroots engagement would strengthen public understanding and support for the President’s second-term bid.
