It was a weekend of jubilation and thanksgiving at Heaven Is Real Grace Assembly, Umuodu Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, as the church successfully concluded its seminar and ordination ceremony for newly appointed Deacons, Deaconesses, and Ministers of the Gospel.

The colorful event, held at the church auditorium amidst pomp and celebration, attracted Christian faithful, distinguished clergymen and women, and notable guests. Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Presiding Bishop of He Reigns Chapel, Owerri, Bishop Ngozi Durueke (Ph.D.); the General Overseer of Heaven Is Real Grace Assembly, Pastor Friday Anyanwu (Senior Pastor); his wife, Mummy Oluchi Anyanwu; and other prominent gospel ministers.

Delivering his sermon themed “Your Time Has Come”, Bishop Ngozi Durueke urged Christians to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ in all aspects of their lives. He emphasized that true transformation comes not from human traditions or foundational beliefs but through a personal relationship with Christ.

In his words,“God has nothing to do with your foundation. What you need is Jesus Christ in your life to shape everything you do.”

He further admonished the newly ordained ministers to uphold integrity and remain steadfast in their divine assignments, stressing that their ordination marks a call to service and not a position of privilege.

Speaking with newsmen after the event, the General Overseer and Senior Pastor of the church, Pastor Friday Anyanwu, expressed profound joy over the success of the program. He explained that the ordination was preceded by a two-day seminar themed “Your Time Has Come”, which prepared the ministers spiritually for their new responsibilities.

According to him,“Ordination is a way of empowering ministers to effectively carry out their pastoral duties. Some of them have been serving faithfully for years, and now their time has truly come. That is what we are celebrating today.”

Pastor Anyanwu, who has been in ministry for over 15 years, also shared a brief history of Heaven Is Real Grace Assembly, noting that the church was founded six years ago with a clear vision to transform lives and win souls for Christ. He used the opportunity to urge Christians worldwide to resist negative influences and remain steadfast in their faith.

In their goodwill messages, some of the newly ordained ministers—including Pastor Obidinma Okechukwu, Deacon Idah David, Pastor David Goodluck, Pastor Ifeanyi Akpaka, Pastor Joseph Arisukwu, and others—expressed gratitude to God and pledged to live up to expectations in their new roles.

Other newly ordained officers include:

Pastor Chukwuebuka ThankGod Mmadu

Deacon Obinna Lazarus

Deacon Ikechukwu Agoha

Deacon Solomon Eberechi

The event ended with songs of praise, thanksgiving, and a renewed sense of mission among the faithful as the church looks forward to greater exploits in the service of God.
