As Nigeria marks 65 years of independence and Ebonyi State celebrates its 29th anniversary, the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, OON, says there is every reason to celebrate.

Ogah, in an interaction with journalists Monday, said Nigerians and Ebonyians alike should rejoice over the gains of unity, peace, and development across key sectors such as infrastructure, education, agriculture, and human capital development.

He commended the leadership of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, noting that for the first time in Ebonyi’s history, leaders and youths are united in support of the administration, creating a solid foundation for sustainable progress.

On the national economy, Ogah expressed optimism in the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pointing out that fuel prices are beginning to drop, food costs are gradually reducing, and agriculture is being embraced more widely. He added that major private sector investments, such as those by Aliko Dangote, are also contributing to the recovery process.

The lawmaker urged Nigerians to remain patient, united, and supportive of government efforts, stressing the importance of obtaining Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) to strengthen democracy.

“Together, we celebrate progress, and together, we celebrate hope,” Ogah declared.
