Imo Police Officer, Sergeant Happiness Uba, Wins Bronze at African Wrestling Championship

A police officer serving in Imo State, Sergeant Happiness Uba, has been commended for her outstanding performance at the recently concluded 14th Africa Anniversary Wrestling Championship, where she won two bronze medals.
The international tournament, which took place in Abuja, featured athletes from 19 African countries and was hosted by Nigeria. Representing both the Nigeria Police Force and the nation, Sergeant Uba demonstrated exceptional skill and determination in her wrestling category.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, congratulated the officer for her success. He described her achievement as a reflection of the discipline and excellence within the police force, noting that it extends beyond routine law enforcement duties.
“This is a testament to the gallantry, commitment, and professionalism that exist within the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force,” CP Danjuma stated.
The Police Commissioner also praised the Officer-in-Charge of Sports, DSP Raphael Ubah, for his efforts in nurturing athletic talent within the Command.
In her response, Sergeant Uba expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and to CP Danjuma for the support and recognition. She pledged to continue striving for excellence and bringing pride to the Force and the country.
The Imo State Police Command hailed Sergeant Uba as a model of dedication, discipline, and patriotic service.
