The General Coordinator,  Igbo Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Pastor (Dr) Chris Amuchie has posited that the Igbo nation has the potential to rival the most advanced nations of the world in technological advancement and overall development.

Pastor Amuchie made this assertion in his keynote address during the 10th anniversary of the Igbo Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Saturday in Owerri, the Imo State capital, which was also used to raise money for an endowment fund for the continued progress and expansion of the Ministry.

The General Coordinator described the Ministry as a non-partisan, non sectarian and non-denominational Christ centered prayer organization, fully registered in Nigeria and the United States of America, with the mission of interceding/standing in the gap for all the Igbos, everywhere in the world, regardless of religious, political, social or economic disposition.

He disclosed that the Ministry has existed 15 years in the United States of America and 10 years in Nigeria, adding that it has been winning the battles along the line, with strong conviction that, eventually it will end up winning the war.

"Our Ministry in Nigeria has grown from a modest 175 members in 2015 to over 2000 people all over Nigeria. We have chapters and zones in Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Warri, Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo and Rivers States. We have also made incursions into Abuja, Akwa Ibom and Delta and our efforts are expected to yield positive and fruitful results "

"We are radically and enthusiastically committed to the political, social, economic, religious and technological development and advancement of Igbos and the Igboland.

"Our glorious expectation and prayer is for Alaigbo to become a center of excellence in every area of life, when compared with nations like Japan, Germany, USA, France and others. We solemnly believe that Ndigbo all over the world have what it takes to attain the desired height, provided we seek the face of God, praying for our nation".

Speaking on the large turnout of Christians to the event, the General Coordinator described it as a proof that Igbos are begining to embrace the ideology of the Ministry that the problem of the Igbo will be solved by going to God in prayer intercession, through Jesus Christ who has been interceding for mankind.

Part of the special features of the event was the award of excellence to three most distinguished members of the Ministry; Rev. Solomon Erondu, Rev. Uche Onyeoziri Media Director of the  Ministry and Prof. Calistus Ndaha.

The event attracted large number of members of the Ministry and Christians of different denominations from the Igbo nation and other parts of Nigeria.
