It was a dazzling fusion of tactical brass and football royalty on Saturday, June 20, 2026, as Inspector Chika Okebata, the celebrated operative of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Imo State Police Command, walked down the aisle with his heartthrob—the sister of international football sensation and Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho.
The groom, widely known by his operational moniker "Kill & Bury" for his fierce, uncompromising stance against violent crime in the State, traded his tactical gear for traditional splendor. The high-octane wedding effectively brought the Ohaji/Egbema region to a standstill, drawing an elite crowd of security chiefs, lawmakers, sports icons, and media executives.
The historic grounds of Central School Umunwaku, situated in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, were transformed into a vibrant carnival of colors, rhythm, and rich Igbo culture.
The bride, radiating grace, performed the traditional wine-carrying ceremony (Igba Nkwu), searching through the massive crowd before presenting the cup to Inspector Okebata, amidst thunderous applause and a spectacular display by traditional dance troupes.
The cross-industry appeal of the couple ensured that the event attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.
Law enforcement brass turned out in full force to support one of their finest field operatives, led by the Commander of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, ACP Oladimeji Odeyeye, alongside several high-ranking officers of the Imo State Command.
The sports world was equally well-represented. The bride’s brother, Kelechi Iheanacho, took a break from his tight football schedule to personally anchor his family's presence.
He was joined by fellow Super Eagles winger and AC Milan star, Samuel Chukwueze, sending the local youth into a frenzy of excitement.
Representing the political class was Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu, the member representing the Oguta/Oru West/Ohaji-Egbema Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, who led a delegation of political stakeholders to the venue.
