Amadioha Clears APC Screening, Sets Sights on Imo State House of Assembly
By Kelechi Ugo
The political landscape of Ohaji/Egbema has received a significant boost as the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Marcel Amadioha, has successfully scaled through screening hurdle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Imo State House of Assembly seat.
The screening exercise, conducted by the Party’s high-powered Committee in Owerri, saw the Council Boss breeze through the vetting process, reinforcing his standing as a frontrunner for the constituency’s legislative ticket.
Prince Amadioha’s clearance is seen by many political analysts as a validation of his performance at the grassroots level.
Since assuming office as the Executive Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema, Amadioha has been credited with stabilizing the oil-rich region through strategic engagement with youth groups and the implementation of people-oriented projects.
Supporters who gathered at the Party Secretariat, Owerri to celebrate the news described him as a "tested hand" whose transition to the State Assembly would bridge the gap between executive implementation and legislative advocacy.
Speaking to journalists shortly after receiving his clearance certificate, Hon. Amadioha expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of the APC and the people of Ohaji/Egbema for their unwavering support. He emphasized that his aspiration is born out of a desire to provide a more robust voice for his people at the state level.
"My mission is simple: to transform the yearnings of our people into actionable legislation. Ohaji/Egbema is a critical hub in Imo State, and we deserve representation that is proactive, transparent, and result-oriented," Amadioha stated.
He further assured his constituents that his "Effective Representation" mantra is not just a campaign slogan but a commitment to: "Legislative Advocacy: Attracting state intervention to infrastructure in oil-producing communities.
Youth Empowerment: Creating legislative frameworks that promote vocational training and job placement.
Agricultural Revitalization: Leveraging the fertile lands of Ohaji/Egbema to boost the local economy through state-backed incentives".
With the screening now behind him, Amadioha moves into the primary election phase with significant momentum. His candidacy is expected to consolidate the Party’s strength in the region, given his deep-rooted connections within the traditional and youth institutions of the LGA.
As the APC prepares for its internal polls, all eyes remain on Ohaji/Egbema. If his current trajectory is any indication, Hon. Prince Marcel Amadioha is well-positioned to lead the Party to a decisive victory in the general elections, promising a new era of legislative excellence for his Constituency.
