Orluzurumee Worldwide sets to inaugurate Patrons,Matrons April 18
The leadership of Orluzurumee Socio-Cultural Organization, a foremost body committed to the unity, progress and socio-cultural advancement of the Orlu people, has announced its forthcoming Investiture and Inauguration Ceremony, scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the esteemed Nkwerre Country Club, Nkwerre, by 12:00 Noon.
According to the press release signed by the Publicity Secretary of Orluzurumee Worldwide,Hon. Nnamdi Cos-Ukwuoma, "the landmark event will formally confer honours on a distinguished cadre of Patrons and Matrons, while also inaugurating the Chairmen of Special Committees and Directors of Directorates—individuals carefully selected based on their exemplary achievements, integrity, and outstanding contributions to society across diverse fields of human endeavour.
The ceremony is expected to attract an eminent gathering of political leaders, traditional authorities, clergy, professionals and respected sons and daughters of Orlu extraction, reflecting the high esteem and significance attached to this historic occasion.
The Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator
Hope Uzodinma CON, Executive Governor of Imo State, will grace the occasion, underscoring the government’s recognition of Orluzurumee’s pivotal role in fostering unity and development within the zone and beyond.
Other distinguished personalities expected at the event include: Distinguished Senator Dr.
Osita Izunaso, Senator representing Orlu Zone, as Guest of Honour, Rt. Hon
Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Deputy Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, as Guest of Honour".
The statement further read,"the ceremony will also be enriched by the presence of revered traditional rulers serving as Royal Fathers of the Day, including: HRM, Eze Dr
E. C. Okeke, Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Grand Patron of Orluzurumee and HRM, Eze (Dr)
Cletus Ilomuanya, Chairman, Imo State Council of Elders.
In addition, prominent spiritual leaders designated as Spiritual Fathers of the Day will lend their blessings and moral guidance to the proceedings:
Augustine Tochukwu Ukwuoma, Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese
Benjamin Chinedum Okeke, Anglican Bishop of Orlu Diocese
According to the President General of Orluzurumee, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, the ceremony represents a defining moment in the organization’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize excellence, honour merit and strengthen the structures necessary for sustainable development across Orlu land. He noted that the investiture and inauguration are not merely ceremonial, but a strategic step toward mobilizing credible leadership and fostering collective responsibility among stakeholders".
