The Collins Onyeaji Foundation, one of the leading humanitarian organizations in South-East Nigeria, over the weekend celebrated and hosted leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency during its end-of-year gathering. The event was marked by an atmosphere of funfare, camaraderie, and jubilation.

In his remarks, the founder of the foundation, Hon. Collins Onyeaji, expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception accorded him by the ADC leadership. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the party and assured the leaders of continuous support aimed at enhancing the welfare and development of the constituency.

Hon. Onyeaji also called for strengthened partnership and effective collaboration between the foundation and the ADC leadership, stressing that such synergy would bring immense benefits to the people of Orlu, Orsu, and Oru East.

As part of the celebration, Hon. Onyeaji distributed Christmas gift items to the leaders in recognition of their steadfastness and resilience despite the challenges faced within the constituency. His gesture was widely applauded by attendees.

ADC chieftain and Director General of the Rebuild Imo Movement, Dr. Vin Udokwu, lauded Hon. Onyeaji for his thoughtfulness and consistent show of goodwill. Similarly, the State Deputy Chairman of ADC, Chief Damian Ezeagu, commended him for his magnanimity and for remaining actively involved in the activities of the leadership forum.

Also speaking, the Zonal Woman Leader of ADC, Orlu Zone, Hon. Florence Asonye, thanked Hon. Onyeaji for remembering the leaders during the festive season and assured him of continued support from the women of the constituency.

In his closing remarks, the Apex Leader and Chairman of the Forum, Engr. Chime Nzeribe, emphasized that the most important aspect of Onyeaji’s gesture was not the size of the gifts but the genuine heart and thoughtfulness behind them.

The Collins Onyeaji Foundation has, in recent months, intensified its humanitarian work across communities in Orlu, Orsu, Oru East and Owerri. Through its “Back to School” project, the foundation has positively impacted pupils in over 20 primary schools, with ongoing plans to renovate and equip more schools to create safer and more conducive learning environments.

Additionally, preparations are underway for the “Kit a Child Project,” an initiative aimed at distributing over 10,000 pairs of shoes to school children.

The foundation remains committed to promoting quality basic education in rural communities, with interventions targeted at benefiting the 586 primary schools across the 95 LGAs of the five South-East states—Imo, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, and Enugu.
