Chief Sir Kingsley Ugochukwu Okoroafor, popularly known as “Nnukwu Ihe 1 of Oguta” and the proud sponsor of the upcoming Nnukwu Ihe 2025 Football Tournament, has commended the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma, the Executive Chairman of Oguta LGA, Hon. Ifeanyi Nani, the Commissioner for Niger Delta Affairs and Intelligence, the Management of Antan Producing Limited, community leaders, and other concerned agencies for their swift and effective intervention in restoring peace between Awa and Abiaziem communities in Oguta Local Government Area.


Chief Okoroafor made this statement during a press briefing following a successful Town Hall and Peace Accord Meeting held recently. He expressed deep appreciation for the collective efforts that brought about the renewed unity and understanding between the two communities.


“I sincerely thank Governor Uzodimma, Chairman Nani, Antan Producing Limited, and all other stakeholders for their timely intervention and commitment to peace. I also commend the leadership of Awa and Abiaziem communities for their maturity and understanding throughout the peace process,” Chief Okoroafor remarked.


As a respected stakeholder in Oguta LGA, Chief Okoroafor expressed happiness at the return of peace and urged both communities to continue upholding peaceful coexistence for the benefit of future generations.



With preparations in top gear for the Nnukwu Ihe 2025 Football Tournament, scheduled for November 8, 2025, in Oguta, Chief Okoroafor took the opportunity to highlight the significance of sports in community development. According to him, sports serve as a powerful tool to engage youths meaningfully, steer them away from social vices, and help discover budding talents.


“Through sports, we can guide our youths toward purposeful living and create opportunities for personal growth. This tournament is one of many initiatives aimed at empowering and uniting our people,” he noted.


Chief Sir Kingsley Ugochukwu Okoroafor is widely recognized for his humanitarian gestures, selfless leadership, and philanthropic endeavors. A successful businessman with a humble background, he has consistently used his resources to bring development to Abiaziem, Oguta LGA, and beyond—without holding any political office.



He has initiated several community-based projects, including the installation of solar-powered street lights, aimed at enhancing security and improving the quality of life for his people.
